Healing Hearts & Minds

Meeting on the first Tuesday evenings of each month, this support group focuses on teaching and reviewing parenting skills necessary to maintain a therapeutic home environment designed to heal the hearts and minds of children and teens affected by early trauma.

Faye Hall and Jeff Merkert, early trauma consultants, join us each month to focus on one effect of early trauma and one family intervention. Discussion and questions are welcomed!

I am a teacher or volunteer, may I come?  
Although the focus of the support group is on parenting children affected by early trauma, we recognize the value of having others in children's lives who have the skills necessary to create safe environments outside of the home. If you would like to learn more, please join us.

Is childcare available?
We are actively searching for childcare providers with the goal of providing childcare. If you or someone you know would be interested in serving as a provider, please email Julie Phipps at hhmgroupcontact@gmail.com.
This support group is provided in collaboration with JFS in Harrisburg and their Healing Hearts Family Based Program.
